On Saturday August 21st, under a cloudy sky, smoke still lingering from the nearby forest fires, we managed to take advantage of a brief patch of blue sky at 2:25 pm, allowing us to reach 30.7 mph with the solar train! This will be a new world record category: solar-powered train speed record. We are in the process of registering it with the Guinness World Records. This will have to wait for next year.
The solar train might be featured in a few nearby trade-shows this year. Stay tuned!
