On Saturday August 21st, under a cloudy sky, smoke still lingering from the nearby forest fires, we managed to take advantage of a brief patch of blue sky at 2:25 pm, allowing us to reach 30.7 mph with the solar train!
This will be a new world record category: solar-powered train speed record. We are in the process of registering it with the Guinness World Records.

Earlier in the year and on a clear day, we should be able to reach 40 mph ! This will have to wait for next year.
The solar train might be featured in a few nearby trade-shows this year. Stay tuned!
